We all like to complain now and then, don’t we? Sure, a grumble here and a moan there are all fine and good but have you ever made any inexplicable travel complaints like these ones made by unhappy travellers to their travel agents?

The Scary Ride

Most Inexplicable Travel Complaints Ever Made

If you booked a trip to Universal Studios in Florida then you would probably be quite excited about the whole thing. After all, it would be a chance to get away from that bloody mouse for a while. Sadly, for one tourist their trip to this world famous attraction almost killed them! Actually, it didn’t really they did get a bit upset. The upset holidaymaker asked travel company Opodo for a refund for their trip because the Incredible Hulk rollercoaster ride had been too scary.

The Pebble Filled Beach

The next weird travel complaint was also directed at Opodo. A happy-go-lucky traveller packed her bags and went for a sun-filled beach vacation in Mexico. Vamos a la playa! Sadly, things didn’t work out as well as she had hoped for. You see, the beach had a lot of dangerous and frankly frightening, err, pebbles on it. The poor little soul then chipped her manicure on one of the pebbles. Can you imagine the pain and the suffering? Holy guacamole, I’d need at least two glasses of tequila before I fell over, chipped the rest of my nails and completely forgot all about those stupid Mexican pebbles.

The Lack of Biscuits

Most Inexplicable Travel Complaints Ever Made

One of the UK travel agents called Thomas Cook has kept a long, long list of bizarre and frankly ridiculous travel complaints made by their long suffering customers. Let’s take the biscuits, for example. Now, you might call them cookies, you might call them galletas and you might even call them biscotti. It doesn’t matter. You want them when you are at home and it seems as though you want them when you are on vacation as well. It wasn’t explained where this person travelled to but we do know that they complained that there were no “proper biscuits” in their destination. They were particularly upset not to find any custard creams or ginger nuts on their travels to an exotic land. Now, if you aren’t from the UK then I need to explain at this point that custard creams and ginger nuts are sad, rather pointless biscuits that are about as unexciting as anything that pops out of an oven can be.

The Annoying Siesta

Another inexplicable travel complaint made to Thomas Cook concerns the annoying habit of people in certain cultures to take a siesta. You see, for the intrepid traveller sleeping isn’t an option. Live fast, eat custard creams and leave a horribly sunburnt corpse is their motto. One holidaymaker went to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. It isn’t clear if they were savaged by evil pebbles but they were definitely left mentally scarred by the “lazy” local shopkeepers who closed for a siesta every day. You see, our globetrotting buddy “often needed to buy things” at this time of day.

The Overly Generous Buffet

Most Inexplicable Travel Complaints Ever Made

One of the saddest things about modern life is when you crawl out of your hotel bed at 10 in the morning, wander down to the restaurant and stuff your face from the delicious breakfast buffet, right? Personally, I had always kind of assumed that this was probably a good thing. At least if sausages and bacon are part of the equation. However, one grumpy holidaymaker got home and complained that he had gained about 5lbs in weight because there was too much food put out on the buffet. He did realise this it was for everyone in the hotel and not just for him, didn’t he?
