#MessageToMyFutureSpouse is an amazing hash-tag intended to give your future spouse a special message. Some are funny, some are inspirational, most of loving, but some are just plain strange, and should be taken as warnings instead of a sweet note to a husband/wife that does not yet exist. A wedding is always an emotional journey for any couple. However, it is great to know that the inability to cry will cost someone, no doubt one that is equally as weird, a new bride. Jeez, guess you should be more sensitive to other people’s problems.

This is the advice that my grandparents gave when they were asked about what made their marriage last fifty years. I would add that it is not saying ‘I love you’ that matters, it is the other expletives that you say along with it.

Having something in common with your future spouse is great. You need to have things in common to build a long-lasting life on. However, please be sure to ask how awesome they think they are before you get in too deep. You may both have completely different definitions of the word ‘awesome’.
