No doubt about it, the world will have to be in much worse shape in order for people to forgo some of their traditional summer rites and that includes their rides. If you don’t already have the “appropriate” ride for summer to follow is a list of some of the best.

Some of you may not have even heard of the Caterham 7 CSR, but it is considered a more modern version of the coveted Lotus. And when you purchase one of these it is recommended that you have a 2.3 liter Mazda/Ford engine put in it along with a 6 speed manual transmission as they do not come with an engine and transmission already put in so you have a choice as to what type of engine, etc. you want.

We are not sure if Ford had cruising around or hauling surfboards and 6 friends around  when it came to designing the crossover Ford Flex but it is perfectly suited to either of these activities along with several more. The only other vehicles that could accomplish this would be a mini van or SUV and neither one of those would make the impressive statement that the Flex does.

Who could imagine great summer rides and not think of the Jeep Wrangler; considered one of the first and pretty much last of the socially acceptable SUV’s, making it perfect for those that like to run over trees as well as those who hug trees.

The Ford Mustang is a bit numerically inferior to the new Dodge Challenger and the Chevrolet Camaro, and even more so now as General Motors has finally come out with the much anticipated Camaro convertible, which Chevy fans have been waiting for since the Camaro itself was brought back several model years ago.

When considering great summer rides you can’t leave the Nissan 350Z out of the running. The updated lines and 332 horsepower engine will ensure that anyone driving it will have a memorable and quick summer.
